Under the patronage of the President of the University of Information Technology and Communications, Professor Dr. Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri, the university organized an awareness symposium on orphan care, with Professor Maitham Musa from the Al-Ayn Social Care Foundation participating. The symposium addressed the Foundation’s services, which have benefited more than 203,000 orphans since 2006, and its projects, such as “Bright Stars” and “My Story,” to support orphans educationally. It also discussed the Foundation’s efforts to treat orphans’ psychological trauma and train them in manual professions. The symposium touched upon the foundation’s charitable projects, such as “Ayn,” “Jariyyah,” and “Jariyyah Sadaqah,” which aim to provide sustainable support to those in need, in addition to the foundation’s legal and religious cover, which is the permission granted by His Eminence, the Grand Ayatollah, Sayyid Ali al-Sistani (may Allah prolong his life). For his part, Prof  Al-Bakri presented the university’s shield to the representative of the Al-Ayn Foundation for Social Care, in appreciation of its role in caring for and sponsoring orphans and needy families. This initiative comes in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 17 and the partnership agreement that serves the community.
