The Human Rights Division, in collaboration with the Department of Media and Government Communication at the University of Information Technology and Communications (UoITC) organized a field visit to one of Baghdad’s kindergartens.
The initiative was part of an extracurricular activity aligned with the university’s annual celebration of the World Children’s Day, which reaffirms the importance of protecting childhood and ensuring a safe environment for children’s growth and well-being.
The visit included recreational and educational activities designed to introduce children to their basic rights in a simple and age-appropriate manner. It also featured an awareness lecture emphasizing key concepts such as protection, nutrition, non-discrimination, and respect for others.
The university team actively participated in interactive activities with the children, including drawing, educational games, and storytelling sessions focusing on themes of justice and equality.
This initiative is part of the university’s broader program to promote human rights awareness and foster a culture of respect for children within the community, while also strengthening cooperation with educational institutions and developing joint programs that contribute to building a generation aware of its rights and responsibilities.
