in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Women’s Affairs Division, in cooperation with the Continuing Education’s Centre at the University of Information Technology and Communications (UoITC) organized an awareness symposium entitled “Balanced Family Relations and Their Role in Achieving Solidarity.”
The symposium was delivered by Dr. Wasan Murshid Mahmoud from the Student Activities Department.

It addressed the concept of social justice as the cornerstone of building stable societies, explaining that balanced family relations are based on justice and equality, which foster mutual respect and a sense of appreciation among family members, thereby strengthening family bonds and providing a healthy and safe environment for children.

The symposium also shed light on the gaps in implementing the concept of social justice worldwide and the impact this has on family and community stability. It pointed out that family problems have a direct effect on mental health, both for children and for the family as a whole.

This event comes as part of a series of awareness activities implemented by the university, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals aimed at promoting the values of justice and protecting the family as the nucleus of society.
