As part of the Digital Transformation Initiative for 2025, the Continuing Education Center at the University of Information Technology and Communications (UoITC) in cooperation with the Training, Development, and International Consultancy Team at the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, organized a workshop within the fifth phase of the Capacity-Building Training Program for employees of ministries and state institutions.
The workshop, presented by Assistant Lecturer Ahmed Uday Izzat from the College of Biomedical Informatics, was titled “Application of Artificial Intelligence in E-Governance: From Data to Decision.” It highlighted the vital role of artificial intelligence in enhancing the efficiency of e-governance and supporting the decision-making process.
The lecturer discussed mechanisms for transforming data into actionable insights using advanced analytical tools, in addition to explaining the fundamentals of data analysis, machine learning techniques, and predictive algorithms that enable government systems to better understand societal needs, improve resource allocation, and automate services.
The workshop also included discussions of practical examples of data analysis programs that contribute to more accurate, objective, and efficient decision-making, while emphasizing ethical considerations and transparency in the operation of intelligent systems as essential foundations for building trust in automated decisions.
In the end of the workshop, the President of UoITC, Prof. Dr. Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri presented a certificate of appreciation to the lecturer in recognition of his efforts in delivering the workshop, which witnessed the participation of a number of employees from various ministries and state institutions.
