As part of the third day of the second edition of Iraq Higher Education Conference (IEEX2025), held at the University of Baghdad’s Al-Hakim Hall, Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Mashali, Assistant President of the University of Information Technology and Communications for Academic Affairs, participated in a panel discussion titled “Implementing the Bologna System in Iraqi Universities.”
The session focused on reviewing Iraq’s experience in implementing the Bologna System, the challenges faced by universities, and future visions for the implementation plan to expand this system across Iraqi higher education institutions. A number of local and international professors and experts participated in the session. Dr. Mashali delivered an important presentation on the role of technological universities in adopting the Bologna standards and the importance of institutional coordination between universities and national academic institutions. He also highlighted the potential of the University of Information Technology and Communications in building academic capabilities and digital infrastructure to support this trend.
