A number of faculty members from the College of Medical Informatics participated in activities aimed at raising awareness about solar energy and promoting environmental consciousness, organized by the Baghdad Center for Solar Energy Training.
Among the participants from the college were lecturers Eng. Joan Kanaan and Assist. Prof. Zainab Mustafa, alongside a distinguished group of specialists and experts in the field of energy. The event aimed to encourage the use of renewable energy sources.
The activities included a series of awareness lectures and fruitful discussions on the importance of utilizing solar energy in Iraq.
Additionally, technical models and educational displays demonstrating the mechanisms of solar energy systems were presented, providing
lecturers and specialists with an opportunity to review the latest scientific and practical experiences.
This visit is part of the university’s ongoing efforts to link practical and academic aspects and to strengthen scientific partnerships
with national and international institutions concerned with sustainable energy, aligning with
Sustainable Development Goal (7 ) affordable and Clean Energy and Goal (17) partnerships for the Goals.
