The President of the University of Information Technology and Communications (UoITC), Prof. Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri, held a meeting with the Computer Center staff. During the meeting, they discussed the achieved accomplishments in the National Open Government Portal Project, in addition to following up on the latest developments in artificial intelligence (AI) and enhancing its role in the digital transformation. Moreover, the UoITC president pointed out the importance of the role played by the UoITC in keeping pace with the rapid developments in the areas of the AI and the information technology (IT), confirming that the UoITC is taking serious steps towards developing the open government portal, in a way that contributes to enhance transparency, improve access to information, and support decision-makers by providing accurate and updated data. This meeting comes within the UoITC’s supportive directions to adopt the latest digital technologies, activate its role in serving state institutions, and achieve the desired digital transformation in line with national strategies.
