The President of the University of Information Technology and Communications (UoITC), Dr. Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri, met with the journalist and academic at Cairo University, Dr. Mohsen Fawzi Othman. The meeting, which took place in the university building in Baghdad, discussed the prospects for developing Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Iraq and ways to transform it into a practical reality that contributes to enhance technical and scientific development.

The two sides discussed the possibility of organizing an international scientific conference with the participation of international companies and specialists in the field of Artificial Intelligence, as well as launching training courses for students and graduates and supporting their innovative projects and transforming them into practical applications that serve the labor market.

Al-Bakri confirmed that the university is continuing with its plans to transform Artificial Intelligence into an actual reality that contributes to provide new job opportunities for Iraqi youth, noting that the university has distinguished experience in this field through its scientific activities and international conferences that it has organized in recent years.
