Professor Dr. Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri, the President of the University of Information Technology and Communications, participated in the annual conference for the Development of Iraqi Telecommunications Sector to discuss the latest developments in the telecommunications and information technology sector in Iraq. The conference addressed vital topics such as local and international partnerships, digital transformation, cybersecurity, and the challenges of implementing fifth-generation technology.
During his speech, Albakry emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation between academic institutions, the private sector, and government to drive technological advancement and keep pace with global changes. He also highlighted the university’s role in preparing specialized personnel capable of leading digital transformation and ensuring information security.
