The Continuous Education Center, in collaboration with the Training, Development, and International Consulting Team at the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, organized a workshop as part of the capacity-building training program towards digital transformations for the first half of 2025. The workshop aims to introduce how to enhance expert systems for cybersecurity, raise technical and programming awareness to protect government infrastructure, and exchange experiences in this field. The workshop, presented by Assist. Lec. Ahmed Adi Izzat from the College of Biomedical Informatics, addressed the infrastructure of institutions and the necessity of protecting and fortifying it against breaches by providing systems capable of predicting cyber intrusions and safeguarding government data. The workshop also demonstrated how specialists in cybersecurity and IT personnel from state employees and academic researchers can benefit from the features of expert systems, thereby enhancing the digital resilience of government infrastructures. Attendees included several employees from various ministries and state institutions who sought to benefit from these workshops. These workshops are part of the university’s efforts to promote digital transformation concepts and apply e-governance principles, keeping pace with technological developments and contributing to administrative reform paths and institutional performance improvement. Moreover, the workshops aim to build participants’ capacities from different ministries in utilizing modern digital technologies and applying best global practices in e-management, thereby enhancing the efficiency of government institutions and contributing to the provision of high-quality services. The workshop was attended by the university president, Prof. Dr. Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri, who honored the lecturer with a certificate of appreciation.
