The University of Information Technology and Communications (UOITC) organized an official stand of protest, led by the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri, and attended by members of the academic and administrative staff. The gathering was held to express strong condemnation of the attacks targeted at the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The event included a memorial segment for the martyrdom of Sayyid Ali Khamenei (may he rest in peace). An atmosphere of profound sorrow and shared responsibility prevailed regarding the grave challenges and events currently facing the region. Participants emphasized a unified humanitarian stance in condemning acts of violence and aggression.
During the stand, participants affirmed that academic institutions play a vital national and moral role in fostering a culture of peace and coexistence while rejecting anything that threatens community security or stability. They called for an immediate cessation of the war machine and urged the adoption of serious dialogue and diplomatic means to address pending issues, aiming to prevent further bloodshed and spare the peoples of the region from more crises.
The stand concluded by stressing the importance of consolidating the values of peace and brotherhood among nations, reaffirming that academic institutions must remain beacons of awareness and national responsibility
