The Informatics Institute for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Information Technology and Communications witnessed the discussion of the Master’s thesis of student Basman Saman Nazar in the field of Computer Science, entitled:
“Cybersecurity Techniques for Fog-Edge Computing Based on Blockchain”.
The study aims to enhance the security of fog and edge computing environments by designing an integrated, multi-layered security framework that combines blockchain technology, which is a distributed database used to store information in a secure and transparent manner, with lightweight hybrid encryption methods, as well as employing intrusion detection systems based on improved machine learning algorithms, which contributes to raising the levels of protection and efficiency in these modern computing environments.
At the conclusion of the scientific discussion by the chairman and members of the committee, the thesis was approved and the student was awarded a Master’s degree in Computer Science with a grade of (very good).
