Sabreen Taher Mahmoud.
The research aims to shed light on the reality of the tax system in Iraq, which suffers from a low percentage of tax contributions to public revenues, as a result of its reliance on traditional methods for determining tax bases and collection methods, in addition to administrative and technical problems that lead to the loss of a large portion of these revenues.
The study found that the UAE has successfully achieved a complete digital transformation in the field of digital government, which has effectively contributed to enhancing the efficiency of the tax system and increasing revenues. He also concluded with a set of recommendations, most notably the necessity of adopting a digital identity system in Iraq because of its pivotal role in reducing the phenomenon of tax evasion and improving public revenue
