The Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Abdul-Hussein Al-Mousawi, chaired a meeting of the Advisory Board, attended by senior officials and the presidents of public universities.
During the meeting, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research emphasized that the formation of investigative committees within the Ministry’s institutions is grounded in ethical and legal responsibility aimed at correcting the path, upholding institutional justice, and embedding principles of integrity and fairness, and he stressed that these committees serve as a means to protect the institution, regulate operations, and address deficiencies in accordance with applicable legal frameworks.
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research stated that the Ministry would under no circumstances allow these committees to become tools for clearance or undermining the rights of faculty and staff, and he emphasized that job security, the preservation of professional dignity, and respect for the legal rights of academic and administrative personnel are fundamental tenets of the Ministry’s approach and rank among its key administrative and ethical priorities.
