The President of the University of Information Technology and Communications, Professor Dr.Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri, received Member of the Council of Representatives Mr.Thaer Jasim Al-Kaabi as part of efforts to strengthen support for the University and follow up on the completion of laws and legislation related to the information technology sector in coordination with the relevant authorities.

 

During the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of issues related to the University’s current situation and needs, as well as the importance of completing the legal and legislative frameworks regulating the information technology sector in line with the rapid developments in the fields of technology, communications, and digital transformation.

The meeting also addressed the importance of supporting the technological projects and systems developed and implemented by the University to serve government institutions,enhancing opportunities for their adoption and expanding their scope of application in a way that contributes to advancing digital transformation,automating services, and improving institutional efficiency.

 

The two sides emphasized the importance of strengthening joint coordination in a manner that contributes to supporting the University and developing its scientific and academic capabilities, creating a supportive legislative environment for disciplines and sectors related to information and communications technology,as well as supporting the University’s role in providing technological solutions and projects that meet the needs of state institutions.
