The Dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Information Technology and Communications (UoITC), Prof. Dr. Muayyad Abdul Ridha Sahib, attended the first in-person meeting of the Committee of Deans of Engineering Colleges at Iraqi universities for the 2026–2027 academic year, hosted by the University of Anbar.

The meeting addressed a range of academic and educational issues, with discussions focusing on ways to advance engineering education and strengthen coordination and collaboration among engineering colleges across Iraqi universities.

The discussions also highlighted the importance of sharing expertise and best practices to improve educational outcomes, expanding opportunities for scientific and academic cooperation, and unifying efforts on matters of common interest in line with the evolving demands of engineering education and the pursuit of higher academic standards.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the President of the University of Anbar presented letters of appreciation and recognition to the deans of engineering colleges in acknowledgment of their academic and scientific contributions and their efforts in advancing higher education.

UoITC’s participation reflects its commitment to active engagement in joint academic initiatives and to strengthening cooperation and coordination with Iraqi universities, thereby contributing to the continued development of engineering education and the advancement of its academic standards.
