The College of Engineering at the University of Information Technology and Communications, represented by its Dean, Professor Dr. Muayad Abdul-Ridha Sahib, participated in the first in-person meeting of the Committee of Deans of Engineering Colleges in Iraqi Universities, hosted by the College of Engineering at the Iraqi University.
The meeting was chaired by Professor Malik Abdul-Razzaq Jabbar, Head of the Committee, and attended by deans of engineering colleges from various Iraqi universities. Emphasis was placed on the important role of the Committee in developing the engineering education system and the necessity of keeping pace with scientific and technological advancements, given the sector’s crucial role in supporting the development and reconstruction process.
The meeting included discussions on several agenda items, focusing on developing curricula and study systems in engineering colleges, as well as enhancing the exchange of expertise among academic institutions, which contributes to raising the level of education in various engineering disciplines.
