Three faculty members from the University of Information Technology and Communications participated in the activities of the Tenth International Scientific Conference for the Blessed Arbaeen Pilgrimage, organized by the Karbala Center for Studies and Research affiliated with the Holy Hussain Shrine, in the holy city of Karbala.

The participation was through a joint scientific research titled:
“Crowd Safety, Crowd Science Risk Assessment Using Intelligent Integration by Digital Twin with IoT,”
which addresses the employment of Digital Twin technologies and the Internet of Things (IoT) in the field of crowd safety and risk assessment related to human gatherings, relying on the intelligent integration of modern digital technologies.

The list of researchers participating in the study included: Assistant Professor Dr. Reem Razak Abdul Hussein Al-Asadi, Dr. Ali Hassan Tarash, and Dr. Fatima Sadiq Al-Jubouri. The scientific committee of the conference issued an acceptance letter for the research to be presented in the conference’s scientific sessions after completing the required preliminary review.

This scientific participation aligns with the university’s commitment to supporting scientific research and utilizing digital intelligence and IoT technologies to address societal and civilizational issues, as well as enhancing the presence of its faculty members in international conferences and scientific forums, and exchanging experiences and knowledge with researchers and academic and research institutions.
