The Institute of Informatics for Postgraduate Studies (IIPS) at the University of Information Technology and Communications organized a specialized scientific seminar on the global Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). The seminar was delivered by Dr. Wael Rasheed Abdul Majeed, a lecturer in the Department of Mechatronics, Al-Khwarizmi College of Engineering, at the University of Baghdad.
The seminar was organized with the aim of introducing the global Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and highlighting its role in supporting academic and research activities. It also sought to encourage Master’s and Doctoral students to join the organization and benefit from its scientific and professional programs and activities, particularly through its regional branch in Iraq.
The seminar was titled “IEEE for Academic Excellence: Research, Networking and Professional Growth”. It addressed the importance of membership in IEEE and the opportunities it provides for developing research skills, strengthening academic and professional networking, and staying up to date with the latest scientific and technological developments worldwide.
The seminar was attended by Professor Dr. Suha Mohammed Hadi, Dean of the Institute of Informatics for Postgraduate Studies (IIPS), along with her Scientific and Administrative Assistants. Also in attendance were a distinguished group of faculty members from the institute and a number of Master’s and Doctoral students, including both coursework and research-track students from the current and previous academic years.
