In a technical step that reflects heading towards sustainability, the College of Biomedical Informatics at the University of Information Technology and Communications (UoITC) has announced the completion of Installing and operating a smart solar charging system, dedicated to charging mobile phones and smart devices, as part of the initiative titled “Towards Sustainable Campus”, in cooperation with “Tra’eb” company for technological services and solar systems.
The system has been implemented according to state-of-the-specific technical characteristics, relying on sober global emergencies, which ensures high performance efficiency and continuity Service. The system includes multi-charging outlets that support various types of smart devices, to meet students’ needs and provide cutting-edge technical service on campus.
The dean of the faculty, Dr. Antsar Shadeed Al-Mujabli, confirmed that this project embodies the college’s commitment to applying strategies to reduce reliability. Conventional sources of energy, and enhance the adoption of green technology solutions, in line with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to achieve sustainable goals, consolidating the role of universities as leading institutions in environmental protection.
On his part, the manager of “Tra’eb” company, Engineer Mohamed Moyed Jassim, clarified that this project represents the beginning of a wider futuristic partnership with the college. Noting that the implementation phases were directly supervised by the Head of the Biomedical Informatics Department, Dr. Mays Abdel-Hadi Al-Sharqi.
The system has seen a positive interaction by college students who have tried cargo ports, expressing their satisfaction of its speed Efficiency and safety in charging their devices
