The Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Abdul Hussein Al-Mousawi,announced the launch of the electronic application form for centralized admission to public universities for the General and Martyrs’ Families channels for the 2026–2027 academic year.
In this regard,the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research explained that graduates of the preparatory school’s scientific branch are required to fill in 50 choices, including at least 10 institutes or polytechnic colleges. Graduates of the literary branch are required to fill in at least 25 choices, including at least 10 institutes or polytechnic colleges. Graduates of the arts branch are required to make 10 choices, including at least 2 institutes or polytechnic colleges.
The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research explained that applications submitted by graduates of the first-round exams, as well as those eligible to take the second-round exams, must be completed electronically through the “Qaddim” Platform no later than Sunday, October 4, 2026.
The Ministry calls upon graduates of the Distinguished Schools and Baghdad College(English-language programs) to apply through the General Channel application form, as it is the unified application form for both channels. This is intended to facilitate the application process and ensure that students enroll in universities within the timelines specified in the academic calendar, while retaining all their privileges.
The Ministry also calls upon students from the families of martyrs to visit the Martyrs Foundation and its affiliated directorates to have their data verified and certified.
