The University of Information Technology and Communications (UOITC) received a delegation from the Research and Development Directorate of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. This visit comes as part of an awareness campaign launched in cooperation with the Federal Commission of Integrity, aimed at educating students about the risks of illegal migration and its social and economic repercussions.
The program included a meeting between the delegation and the President of the University, Professor Dr. Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri. During the meeting, the President affirmed the university’s full support for such educational initiatives, emphasizing the importance of raising student awareness regarding the dangers of migration in all its forms. He also stressed the need to foster a university environment that promotes intellectual stability and encourages students to invest their talents within their homeland.
Additionally, the delegation met with the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Hassan Mashali, and the Dean of the College of Business Informatics, Assistant Professor Dr. Nagham Hamed.
The visit also included a field tour of the classrooms, where the delegation distributed awareness brochures to the students. These materials provided guidance on the risks of unregulated migration and the challenges facing youth.
