The University of Information Technology and Communications announces the launch of the first National Open Government Portal, in cooperation with the National Center for Digital Transformation.
The University will commence the implementation of a comprehensive training program aimed at qualifying nominees from all state institutions, through a series of training workshops to be held at the University in successive phases, following an intensive training curriculum specifically designed to support the requirements of managing and activating the Open Government system.
The University invites the nominees of government institutions, who have been officially nominated by the National Center for Digital Transformation, to attend and participate in the first training workshop, which will be held on Monday, 5/1/2026, at 10:00 a.m., at the University of Information Technology and Communications building – Al-Mansour – Iraq Hall.
The University urges other state institutions that have not yet completed the nomination procedures to take the initiative to nominate three (3) employees from each institution—two (2) data entry officers and one (1) manager—through the National Center for Digital Transformation, for the purpose of including them in the training workshops to be held at the University and ensuring their inclusion in the approved training program.
This initiative comes in line with the pivotal role of the University of Information Technology and Communications in supporting Iraq’s digital transformation journey and contributing to the achievement of key sustainable development requirements, as well as in promoting the principles of transparency and strengthening the spirit of positive competition among state institutions, within the framework of e-governance and its modern applications.
