The Continuing Education Center at the University of Information Technology and Communications (UoITC) organized the third developmental workshop within the sixth phase for the first half of 2026.
The workshop was organized in cooperation with the International Training, Development, and Consultancy Team at the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, as part of the Capacity Building Program toward Digital Transformation for employees of state institutions and was entitled “Digital Data Processing Using Modern Technologies.”
The workshop was delivered by Dr. Reem Ibrahim Hassan from UoITC/ Electronic Computing Center, during which she addressed the fundamental concepts of digital data, methods of data collection, processing, and analysis using the latest internationally adopted tools and technologies.
The workshop also featured a presentation of several practical techniques in the field of data analysis, including the use of advanced features in Microsoft Excel and its comparison with SQL Server, as well as database management mechanisms through creating queries, organizing, retrieving, and analyzing data in ways that support decision-making processes.
In addition, the workshop discussed the use of Microsoft Power BI in designing interactive dashboards, data visualization techniques, and report generation, with the aim of transforming raw data into clear indicators and graphical representations that enhance understanding and support decision-making, as well as enabling their sharing with relevant entities.
The workshop relied on modern applications supported by artificial intelligence technologies in data analysis, contributing to the development of participants’ technical skills, enhancing their readiness to keep pace with the requirements of digital transformation, and reinforcing a culture of data-driven decision-making in modern governmental work environments.
