The College of Engineering at the University of Information Technology and Communications (UOITC) held an introductory seminar for its students regarding the National Undergraduate Robotics and AI Competition (NURAI). The seminar aimed to familiarize students with the nature of this national scientific competition and encourage them to participate by submitting innovative projects in the fields of robotics and artificial intelligence.
The seminar was presented by Dr. Mohammed Fadhil Zamil, from the College of Biomedical Informatics. He outlined the competition’s concept and its objectives, which focus on developing student’s skills, fostering a spirit of innovation, and supporting applied scientific research. Furthermore, the competition encourages students to develop technical projects that provide innovative solutions to challenges across various sectors, including industry, medicine, agriculture, and education.
The session covered the participation guidelines, the mechanism for forming student teams, and project submission requirements, in addition to introducing the various competition tracks. The speaker also provided a set of instructions for students on how to select and develop project ideas that align with the competition’s requirements and approved evaluation criteria.
The seminar concluded by clarifying the registration process and submission deadlines, followed by a Q&A session to address student’s inquiries regarding participation and the best practices for project preparation.
