The College of Engineering at the University of Information Technology and Communications organized a scientific awareness seminar entitled (Media Education and Building Awareness in the Information Era), presented by journalist Muhammad Idris Mahdi, as part of its programs aimed at enhancing media culture and consolidating critical thinking skills among students and its members.

The seminar was held in cooperation between the Media and Public Relations Division and the Scientific Affairs Division. The lecturer reviewed the concept of media education and its importance in light of the rapid digital transformation and the growing influence of modern means of communication, emphasizing their pivotal role in enabling individuals to analyze and evaluate media messages, and distinguish between reliable sources and misleading information, which contributes to reducing rumors and enhancing responsible community awareness.
