In cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, the Electronic Computing Center at the University of Information Technology and Communications organized a training course entitled “Proper Arabic Drafting of Official Administrative Correspondence.” The course aimed to develop the skills of administrative staff in preparing and editing official letters in accordance with correct linguistic and administrative standards.
The course was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Noor Ismail Wais. It covered several key topics, including spelling rules and the correct writing of all forms of the hamza, distinguishing between the letters ḍhād and ẓāʾ, as well as explaining the rules for writing numbers and properly marking their grammatical distinction.

It also addressed punctuation principles and the correct use of punctuation marks.
The course also examined administrative aspects that enable employees to draft official correspondence in a professional and well-structured manner. It also highlighted the most common linguistic errors found in official letters and explained methods for correcting them.
The course concluded with a practical exercise presenting a complete model of a properly structured official letter, applying the topics covered during the session in order to strengthen the practical component and reinforce the concepts acquired by the participants.
