The Continuous Education Center at the University of Information Technology and Communications concluded a training course entitled “From a Green University to a Green World: The Role of Youth in Achieving Sustainable Development”, with the participation of a number of university faculty and staff interested in environmental issues.

The course that was presented by two instructors from the Department of Administrative and Financial Affairs, Assist. Lect. Helen Anwar Hassan and Assist. Lect. Isra’a Jwad Ali Akbar, aimed to raise awareness of the concept of sustainable development and its seventeen goals, in addition to introducing the principles of green education and waste management mechanisms according to the (5Rs) system, as well as highlighting the importance of renewable energy and its role in confronting climate change and achieving sustainable development goals within the university.

The five-day course featured theoretical lectures and practical discussions that addressed the role of youth and community initiatives in building a sustainable environment and promoting environmentally friendly practices within educational institutions.
