The National Security Service / University Security Directorate, in cooperation with the Informatics Institute for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Information Technology and Communications and the University Psychological Counseling Division, held a specialized seminar on electronic extortion. The seminar aimed to raise awareness of its risks and promote effective means of prevention.

 

The seminar was delivered by a specialized team from the University Security Directorate of the National Security Service. It addressed the concept of electronic extortion, its most common types and modern methods, as well as highlighting its risks and impact on individuals and society.

 

The seminar also discussed scientific and legal methods for addressing and combating cases of electronic extortion and limiting its spread. It further highlighted the role of educational institutions in promoting digital awareness among students and strengthening their ability to navigate cyberspace safely.

 

This seminar is part of the efforts of the Informatics Institute for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Information Technology and Communications to promote security awareness and digital literacy, and to contribute to reducing negative phenomena that threaten the security and stability of society.
