The University of Information Technology and Communications, in partnership with the National Digital Transformation Center, continues to develop the National Open Government Portal by consistently populating it with government data from various ministries, agencies, and institutions; which reinforces the principles of transparency and open data accessibility while supporting Iraq’s digital transformation path.

The portal has undergone comprehensive updates, including improved performance and search speeds, enhanced security systems, and upgraded user interfaces; which provide a more efficient and user-friendly experience while facilitating access to reliable government data.

The portal currently includes 57 government entities, featuring 43 datasets and 89 uploaded files, with new data being added periodically from various government departments.

Leading the list of entities most actively contributing data to the portal are the Shia Endowment Diwan, the Diyala Governorate Office, the Ministry of Environment, the Independent High Electoral Commission, and the Ministry of Planning / Commission of Statistics and GIS, as part of a joint effort to enrich open government content.

The ongoing updating of the National Open Government Portal is part of efforts to build an integrated national open data ecosystem that supports decision-makers, stimulates innovation and scientific research, and enhances transparency and communication between government institutions and citizens.
