The Psychological Counseling Division, in cooperation with the Scholarships and Cultural Relations Department at the university, organized a scientific seminar entitled “Geological Diversity in Iraq: Understanding the Land to Protect the Future,” presented by Dr. Yasser Majid Darjal.

The seminar addressed the most prominent aspects of geological diversity in Iraq, its diverse natural formations and geological characteristics, as well as the importance of this diversity in enhancing natural resources, supporting sustainable development, and preserving the environment.

The seminar also highlighted the importance of disseminating scientific and environmental awareness, introducing the geological resources that Iraq possesses, and the necessity of investing in them sustainably.

The seminar, which included the presentation of video clips related to the celebration of the International Day for Geological Diversity in Iraq, which was approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research on October 6th, is part of the scientific and educational activities organized by the university to enhance knowledge and broaden the horizons of awareness among students and staff in various scientific and environmental fields.
