The University of Information Technology and Communications organized a scientific seminar entitled “The National Initiative Policy to Support Energy and Reduce Emissions” in the presence of the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Haider Hassan Al-Mshali, and a number of faculty members and affiliates.
The seminar, presented by Mr. Fares Khaled Ahmed, Senior Chief Programmer at the Ministry of Electricity, addressed the National Initiative for Energy Support and Emission Reduction, as a joint strategic project between the Ministries of Electricity and Environment, and its role in the transition towards clean energy, reducing carbon emissions, and enhancing energy efficiency.
The seminar reviewed indicators and statistical tables showing the rates of use of solar energy systems and their role in reducing environmental pollution, in addition to the repercussions of the global warming phenomenon on the environmental reality, the possibility of benefiting from the Green Education Fund, and the role of the initiative in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
At the conclusion of the seminar, the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Haider Hassan Al-Mshali, awarded a certificate of appreciation to the lecturer in recognition of his scientific efforts and his contribution to spreading environmental awareness and promoting a culture of clean energy.
