The University of Information Technology and Communications held an expanded meeting for faculty members, chaired by University President Prof. Dr. Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri, coinciding with the start of the 2026–2027 academic year and attended by the University President’s assistants for scientific and administrative affairs and the deans of the colleges.
During the meeting, Al-Bakri emphasized the importance of serious preparation for the new academic year and of elevating the standard of the educational and academic process to align with the demands of scientific and technological advancement and the labor market, and he stressed the need to enhance the quality of education and scientific research, and to support the university environment in ways that contribute to developing students’ skills and improving the quality of the university’s academic outcomes.
Al-Bakri highlighted the vital role of faculty members in achieving the university’s goals, urging them to continue working with a unified team spirit, attend to students and their academic needs, and foster research and scientific activities as well as collaboration across departments and faculties.
The meeting included a discussion of several topics related to the new academic year and mechanisms for enhancing academic and administrative performance, as well as hearing input and proposals from faculty members, who presented various insights and observations regarding the educational process and academic and administrative needs.
