The Women’s Affairs Division at the University of Information Technology and Communications, in cooperation with the Continuous Education Center, held an online seminar entitled “Mechanisms for Financing the Riyada Initiative and Management of Medium and Small Enterprises,” with the participation of a number of students and those interested in entrepreneurship and project development.
The seminar was presented by the Head of the Qualification and Employment Division at the University and trainer of the Riyada Initiative, Dr. Ala’a Talal Yaseen, during which she reviewed the most prominent mechanisms adopted to finance projects within the Riyada Initiative, as well as introducing the concept of small and medium enterprises and their importance in supporting the economy and enhancing job opportunities.
The seminar included an explanation of the concept of entrepreneurship and the mechanisms for turning ideas into feasible projects, with an emphasis on the importance of having a clear project idea based on a specific goal, and the availability of financial, human and technical resources, in addition to preparing a timetable and work plan that leads to tangible outputs and results.
The lecture also addressed the criteria that helps in evaluating the success of a project idea, such as achieving added value and conducting an accurate feasibility study, as well as employing innovation and modern technologies in developing entrepreneurial projects.
