The Continuing Education Center at the University of Information Technology and Communications conducted a training course as part of the program for developing and qualifying new employees, dedicated to the legal skills track.

The course addressed a number of important topics related to the legal aspects of the work of government institutions in general, and universities in particular. It introduced the Law on the Discipline of State and Public Sector Employees No. (14) of 1991, the mechanisms of administrative investigation, as well as an explanation of the rights, duties, and prohibitions that employees should be familiar with within the framework of institutional work. The course also emphasized the legal grievance period of (30) days from the date the employee is notified of the penalty, and the possibility of appealing it before the Employees’ Judiciary Court within the legally specified period.

The course was delivered by Dr. Mohammed Karim Ali and Dr. Mohammed Abdelaziz Jabr from the University of Information Technology and Communications, with the attendance of a number of newly appointed employees from the university’s departments, divisions, and units, as well as its colleges and the informatics institute.

The course also included an explanation of the University Service Law and the Civil Service Law, in addition to skills related to drafting government contracts, and an introduction to the Intellectual Property Protection Law and the legal obligations arising therefrom, contributing to the enhancement of legal awareness and the improvement of job performance efficiency among new employees.
