The Department of Quality Assurance and Institutional Performance at the University of Information Technology and Communications (UoITC) organized a workshop titled “The Impact of 360-Degree Feedback on Faculty Performance and Professional Development in Higher Education.” Which was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Ban Qasim Jawad.
The workshop provided an in-depth explanation of the 360-degree feedback mechanism. This approach is recognized as one of the modern methodologies for evaluating academic performance, as it relies on aggregating evaluation data from various stakeholders, including, employers, peer faculty members, students, and direct supervisors.

The session highlighted that this multi-source evaluation model ensures a more comprehensive and objective assessment of faculty members. By diversifying the sources of feedback, institutions can more accurately diagnose professional weaknesses for targeted improvement and reinforce key strengths, ultimately fostering sustainable professional development within higher education institutions.
