The results of the global SCIMAGO INSTITUTIONS RANKINGS for academic and research institutions have been announced, with the University of Information Technology and Communications retaining its seventh position among Iraqi universities out of 76 participating institutions in the ranking.

This achievement is an indication of the university’s ongoing efforts to enhance its academic and research standing at both local and international levels by supporting scientific output and improving institutional performance.

In terms of disciplines, the university ranked sixth in Iraq in the field of Computer Science, while it secured the fourteenth position in Engineering, reflecting its academic performance development and excellence in scientific and technical fields.

It is worth noting that the SCImago ranking is primarily based on precise performance indicators derived from the global Scopus database, which includes:
