The College of Engineering, in collaboration with the Continuous Education Center, organized a specialized training course titled “COBIT 5 – Level 1,” which lasted for five consecutive days.

The course, presented by faculty members from the Department of Media and Communications Technology: Dr. Qutaiba Hamadi Mohammed and Assistant Professor Nashwan Dia Zaki, introduced concepts and frameworks for IT governance, and how to achieve integration between administrative and technical processes to ensure business continuity and information security, based on global best practices to enhance system efficiency and improve institutional performance.

The course covered both the scientific and practical aspects of governance principles, mechanisms for managing technical risks, and achieving compliance with international standards, in addition to reviewing technical tools that help organizations build more efficient and reliable work environments.

This course is part of the ongoing scientific activities of the College of Engineering aimed at supporting professional development and enhancing participants’ skills in the fields of systems management and cybersecurity, keeping pace with the rapid advancements in the information technology sector.
