In alignment with the strategic directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research toward digital transformation and the automation of electronic systems within the “Higher Education Platform,” and under the direct supervision of the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Haider Hassan Meshali, the University of Information Technology and Communications (UOITC) hosted an intensive training workshop.
It was conducted by the technical team from the Ministry’s IT Department, with the active participation of the university’s specialized committee.
The workshop provided a comprehensive overview of the latest updates and advancements integrated into the Higher Education Platform. Detailed technical demonstrations were presented regarding the system’s operational mechanisms, aimed at optimizing platform utility and elevating the quality of electronic services provided to academic institutions.
A significant portion of the workshop was dedicated to evaluating the technical and procedural impediments encountered by the university’s technical team during the data migration process for the 2024–2025 academic year. The participants collaborated on devising robust solutions to mitigate these challenges, ensuring the finalization of the migration process with the highest standards of data integrity and accuracy.
The deliberations also extended to the prerequisites for deploying the IQ Learn e-learning system. This included configuring academic curricula and instructional materials, establishing systematic linkages between faculty members, students, and their respective courses.
The workshop concluded with the assertion that the official activation of the e-learning system remains contingent upon the successful and comprehensive completion of the final data migration phase.
