The Electronic Computing Center at the University of Information Technology and Communications held a specialized workshop on the university’s electronic correspondence system. Launched several months ago, the system is now in use as part of the university’s efforts to improve administrative performance, streamline procedures, and advance digital transformation across its departments.
The workshop, delivered by Zain Al-Abideen Mohammed and Assistant Lecturer Sima Hassan Hadi, provided a detailed explanation of how the system works and its features as an electronic alternative to paper-based internal mail. It enables official correspondence to be exchanged between departments and administrative units using computers and mobile phones, helping to speed up transaction processing and improve administrative efficiency.
The workshop also highlighted the system’s key features, including electronic archiving, correspondence storage, and the ability to attach documents, images, and links. It also allows users to issue circulars and manage incoming and outgoing mail, supporting smoother workflows and more accurate tracking of official communications within the university.
The workshop is part of ongoing efforts to monitor the system’s implementation, expand its use, and familiarize administrative staff with how to use it and benefit from its capabilities. These efforts support the university’s transition to a fully integrated digital administrative environment.
