The University of Information Technology and Communications (UOITC) has once again demonstrated its growing academic excellence, securing first place among Iraq’s young universities for the second consecutive year in the Times Higher Education Arab University Rankings 2027

The University also achieved the highest ranking band among Iraqi young universities.

Nationally, UOITC ranked 19th among 60 participating Iraqi universities and colleges, while placing 151st among 269 Arab universities included in the rankings.

This achievement reflects the university’s growing academic standing and competitiveness, particularly considering that it was established in 2014.

This continued progress is the result of sustained efforts to enhance academic, research, and institutional performance. It also recognises the valuable contributions of the university’s faculty members and researchers, particularly those whose outstanding scientific output has strengthened its international research profile through publications in prestigious journals indexed in Scopus, as well as through expanding international academic and research collaborations.

UOITC’s achievement marks another important milestone in its journey towards academic excellence and reinforces its commitment to strengthening its position among leading universities in Iraq and across the Arab region.
