The University of Information Technology and Communications, in collaboration with the Baghdad Municipality/ Karada District, organized a voluntary campaign to plant trees and flowers in Kahramaanah Square.
This campaign comes in response to the directives of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers and the Ministries of Environment and Higher Education and Scientific Research, as well as the university’s commitment to supporting and preserving the environment and climate while increasing green spaces.
The voluntary campaign aims to instill the concepts of afforestation and green cover within various segments of society, especially among students. A distinguished group of professors, staff, and students from the university participated in the campaign.
For its part, the university carried out this campaign by purchasing and planting trees suitable for Iraq’s climatic conditions, including Acacia, Piza, Yews, Razqi, and others, in addition to several seasonal flowers.
