The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, honored the student Aqeel Zaid Nabil, an ex-inmate of the Karkh Central Prison, who finished his studies within the prisoner education program adopted by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in coordination with the Ministry of Justice and implemented by the University of Information Technology and Communications.
This educational program is within the framework of the policy of integrating inmates into society through the education portal.

The Minister of Education, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, confirmed during the meeting, in the presence of the President of the University of Information Technology and Communications, Dr. Abbas Al-Bakri, that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and its universities actively participate in inmate rehabilitation programs and provide qualitative initiatives aimed at rebuilding the human being and enabling him to continue university education according to academic curricula designed for this purpose.
He also praised the positive message that this goal represents in the fields of psychological and correctional rehabilitation.
