The Continuing Education Center at the University of Information Technology and Communications, in cooperation with the Training, Development, and International Consulting Team at the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, organized a workshop as part of the training program to build capacity for digital transformation for the first half of 2025. The workshop focused on the importance of basic skills for controlling and managing information technology infrastructure in government institutions. The workshop aims to introduce the basic skills of the Windows Server system for managing and controlling IT infrastructure, raising technical and programming awareness to protect government infrastructure, and exchanging expertise in this field. The workshop, presented by Ahmed Rahim Abdel Nabi, a lecturer at the College of Business Informatics, addressed the topic of corporate infrastructure and the need to manage and control it through a unified, centralized system, leveraging the capabilities of operating systems related to corporate management and government data protection. Additionally, the workshop demonstrated ways to leverage the features of these systems, such as Windows Server, as an example for specialists in institutional infrastructure management and information technology professionals within the government. The workshop was attended by numerous employees from government ministries and institutions, who benefited from the sessions, which aimed to build capacity and advance digital transformation. These workshops are part of the university’s efforts to promote these concepts and implement the principles of e-governance, keeping pace with technological developments and contributing to support administrative reform and improve institutional performance.
