Professor Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri, President of the University of Information Technology and Communications and Head of the Training, Development, and International Consulting Team of the Digital Transformation Committee for Diwani Order (22) of 2020, received a delegation from the National Data Center of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers to discuss ways of cooperation in the field of training and development of government personnel and building advisory capacities to support state institutions. During the meeting, the two sides discussed the requirements of the next phase to enhance the efficiency of employees of ministries and government institutions by designing specialized training programs, including workshops and development courses, that meet the actual needs of these entities, in line with the requirements of digital transformation and modern technical and administrative challenges. Al-Bakri and the visiting delegation emphasized the importance of strengthening the partnership among the university, the National Data Center, and the private sector to provide high-quality training content that contributes to enhancing institutional performance and keeping pace with technological developments. This focus is on engaging highly experienced trainers to ensure the desired development impact. It’s worth noting that the University of Information Technology and Communications sponsors the e-Government Program’s capacity-building program, reflecting its pioneering role in supporting the digital transformation process and qualifying national cadres.
