The President of the University of Information Technology and Communications (UoITC), Dr. Abbas Mohsen Al -Bakri, conducted an inspection night tour in a number of buildings and university facilities, to see closely on the extent of adherence to public safety and fire safety procedures, in implementation of the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the assurances of the Council of Ministers General Secretariat regarding enhancing safety standards within universities.

The tour, which was conducted in the late evening hours, included the extinguishing and early warning systems in vital locations such as generators, stores, and fuel tanks, as well as verifying the availability of preventive and technical methods of emergency devices.

The UoITC president confirmed during the tour the importance of continuing work around the clock to ensure a safe educational environment, emphasizing the need of specialized staff for the night shift system to follow up on any emergency. Also, he directed the specialized teams to prepare daily reports on safety procedures, direct coordination with the Civil Defense and the relevant authorities.

This night tour comes within the framework of the continuous field follow-up adopted by the UoITC presidency to ensure the implementation of the highest standards of protection and prevention within the campus.
