A lecturer at the Postgraduate Studies Department at the Presidency of the University of Information Technology and Communications (UoITC) participated in an electronic scientific symposium organized by the Continuing Education Center at Ibn Sina University of Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences which is entitle “Radioactive, Physical and Chemical Pollution and Its Impact on the Environment and Public Health.”

The symposium has been presented by the lecturer Firas Salem Abed, which covered the definition of radioactive pollution and its types, supported by displaying pictures of various forms of pollution, as well as reviewing its sources, seriousness and direct implications, in addition to addressing the effects of negative physical pollution.

At the end, the symposium has recommended the necessity of sustainable urban and industrial planning and building smart cities that are environmentally friendly, taking advantage of the experiences of developed countries in the field of pollution reduction and protection of public health.
