The staff of the College of Biomedical Informatics at the University of Information Technology and Communications participated in the major afforestation campaign launched by the Baghdad Municipality / Al-Karkh Center Municipal Department, under the patronage of the Prime Minister. This campaign is part of a community initiative aimed at promoting environmental awareness and increasing green spaces in the capital.
The campaign aims to plant more than 300,000 trees in various areas of Baghdad, in support of the environment, to reduce pollution, and to improve air quality.
The college staff contributed by planting a number of perennial trees in the central reservation of Al-Kindi Street in the Al-Harithiya neighborhood, emphasizing the importance of such voluntary initiatives in improving environmental conditions and promoting a community culture geared toward a healthy and sustainable environment.
