The President of the University of Information Technology and Communications (UoITC), Professor Dr. Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri, participated in the 5th Conference of Arab-Turkish University Presidents, held at the Regency Gammarth Hotel in the Tunisian capital on October 10–11, 2025.
The event was jointly organized by the University of Tunis El Manar and the Association of Arab Universities, in cooperation with Istanbul Aydın University.
The conference witnessed the attendance of a large number of presidents of Arab and Turkish universities, as well as representatives of academic and research institutions.
It aimed to discuss ways to advance higher education and strengthen academic and scientific partnerships among the participating universities.
During the conference proceedings, the university president signed several scientific cooperation agreements with a number of Turkish universities.
These agreements cover areas such as academic exchange, joint supervision, and the launch of collaborative research and training programs that contribute to developing research capabilities and enhancing the university’s academic openness to international institutions.
Dr. Al-Bakri emphasized that the university’s participation in this conference represents an important step toward building effective bridges of cooperation with regional and international universities. He noted that such meetings open new horizons for exchanging expertise and unifying academic efforts in the fields of innovation, digital transformation, and sustainable education.
