The Department of Student Activities at the University of Information Technology and Communications participated in the Third International Marathon, which was held at the University of Baghdad. The event saw wide participation from African and Arab countries, as well as over 70 public and private universities and colleges.

The university was represented by a sports delegation supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Imad Kadhem Al-Kaabi, the Director of theDepartment of Student Activities , along with several officials from relevant departments and units within the university.

The event was organized under the supervision of the Department of Student Activities in the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority, with direct sponsorship from the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The marathon, which covered a distance of 5 kilometers, featured a distinguished sporting atmosphere characterized by fair competition among participants. Karbala University secured the first place in the race.

The university delegation included Dr. Mohammed Saeb Fadel, Head of the Sports Activities Division, Dr. Fadia Abdul Hussein Kadhem, and lecturer Noor Shamsi Badr, along with five students from the College of Business Informatics.
